How To Blog-IT Managers

In this blog post I will give a guide IT Mangers to explain how to use a blog and make a blog post.
If you decide that you want to set up a blog or either personal use or work use then there are a few things that you need to do.
You can use blog to keep work that you have done safe and in one place. you can also use a blog to write a reflective account of any training days that your company may have.
The first thing you need to do is to set up an personal account on the blogging website that you have chosen to use. whilst you are creating a account you will be asked to enter your email address: this is so that the blogging website can contact you if something goes wrong with blog. You will also use this email address whenever you log into the blog that you have created. Another thing that you will have to do whilst setting up your blog account is to create a personal URL address for your blog and username. The username that create will then be displayed on your blog and it will enable other people to search and view your blog so that they can comment on it.

To create a new post on your blog you click on the button that gives you the option create a new post e.g. on some blogging sites this button may have a pencil or notepad symbol on it but on others this button may just say 'Create new Post'.

To add either Music or Photos or any other media elements to your blog that is linked to the subject of your blog post just click on the button that says 'Add Media'.

To post to your blog you click on the button on your blog that says 'New Post'. Once you have done this a second screen will appear and this is where you write the text that you want to include in your blog post and to publish the post you click on the button that says 'Compose' and by clicking this the post you have written will be published to your blog and then you can view it when you log onto your blog as well as online and then you can make changes to a post by clicking on the post that you want to make changes to and once you have made the changes required to your blog to post the updated version of the post you click on the button on your blog that says 'Update'.
For people to comment on your blog they click on the box at the bottom of your screen and write their comment down and when they are finished writing their comment they then click on the button 'Submit Comment'.

I Decided to use a blog post as a way of relaying information about blogging to IT Managers because they would want to use something that is interactive and is written using technical language. I also decided to use a blog post for the IT Mangers because it saves paper.

Ethics in IT.

There are many ethics and laws that relate to IT that affect our society today some of these include
Hacking which is  when  a individual or group breaks into a company's online website and steals the personal information of individuals associated with the company. There are have many cases in recent years and months of peoples personal information being stolen as the result of computer hacking.
Another thing related to law and IT that affects the younger generation of society on a day to day basis is Cyberbullying. Cyberbulling is when someone bullies another person either through social media, email or text and many teenagers end up taking their own lives as a result of them being cyber bullied.
Another bad ethic related to IT is Internet Trolls, Trolls are people who go onto either a internet chat room or forum and start writing really nasty things about an individual. They sometimes can sometimes log onto a social media site, befriend a individual and then start writing horrible things about them and some of the things that they write can be really personal about the individual that they are writing about.
However a there are also positive ethics related to IT that effects society today,
One of the main positive ethics is that IT can help people who are experience feelings of loneliness or find it difficult talking to people in person for many reasons find a friend who maybe feels the same way and this could help boost the individual's confidence.
